Hy on the Fringe: Your Personal Guide to the

2015 New York International Fringe Festival

This Musicals Page Was Most Recently Updated: August 8th 2015

Notable FringeNYC 2015 Musicals

Some of the biggest, splashiest, and most enjoyable shows at the festival are musicals. A fatal mistake of many aspiring musical writers is focusing on the songs and neglecting the book (i.e., the story and dialogue). Yet other productions emphasize surface flash over musical substance. As alwas, I'm hoping to find at least some musicals that are strong across the board. Pre-festival, the following appear to be among the top contenders:

Beware The Chupacabra!

A scene from Beware The Chupacabra!, a comedy-horror opera

Popesical: A Papal Musical Comedy

Just a few of the cast members (many from Broadway) in religion romp Popesical: A Papal Musical Comedy
